How to Play the Online Violin?
The acoustic violin features four open strings tuned in perfect fifths: E5, A4, D4, and G3. Our simulator maps these registers into four full-length horizontal string tracks with 12 semitones per string for seamless keyboard performance.
- E String Track (Highest Register): Press 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0, -, = to play notes from E5 up to D#6 along the top E string.
- A String Track: Press Q, W, E, R, T, Y, U, I, O, P, [, ] to play notes from A4 up to G#5 along the A string.
- D String Track: Press A, S, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, ;, ', \ to play notes from D4 up to C#5 along the D string.
- G String Track (Lowest Warm Register): Press Z, X, C, V, B, N, M, ,, ., / to play notes from G3 up to E4 along the lowest G string.
- Chords & Articulations: Use the CHORDS dropdown to trigger authentic sweeping double-stops (G, D, A, C, Em, Am). Hold keys down in ARCO mode to control bow sustain, or switch to PIZZICATO and SORDINO for diverse acoustic textures!
